Bingo the Key to Big Winning
Posted By Diego | Online-Bingo News | November 3, 2009, 03:29 AM |
The dream of winning a jackpot is one shared by many. Even small lottery wins are applauded in the workplace, though the funds are often ploughed back into coffers of the to buy more tickets. However big the prize, bingo has shown that it is consistently the most popular arena for people seeking to get their hands on a big win.
The image of bingo has undergone a massive transformation in the last decade. At the turn of the century the game was in sharp decline, with attendances to bingo halls dropping increasingly sharply. Seemingly without warning, the game enjoyed a renaissance, and was rescued through its online incarnation. The gaming arena took bingo and breathed fresh life into it, and in the early 2000s the game was continuously in amongst the news pages through high-profile events and celebrity game launches. Suddenly everyone wanted a slice of the game, from Christiano Ronaldo to Prince William, though it is unlikely that those latter were desperate to land a progressive jackpot!
However, for regular players bingo offered the chance to win big money. From the early days of the online game to the present day, bingo news pages have been alive with the buzz of winners past and present. The social features inherent in any good bingo site will mean that players can keep in touch with each other ad infinitum, so members and regular players are constantly up-to-speed with just who has been lucky in the game and who has not.
Not that this breeds jealousy. Drawing from its history rooted in community spirit, Bingo is a famously inclusive game, in which nay-sayers and negativity are derided as much as winners are celebrated. In the online bingo room, there is nowhere to hide, so having a positive mental attitude and cheering the big wins of others always goes a long way.
However, it is not only the big wins which are cheered. The advent of the free version of the game made popular by directory sites such as Bingo Social, gave players the chance to win money for free – although obviously the prizes are smaller than the thousands on offer in some of the larger, paying rooms.
Though this is undoubtedly true, each win is one to be celebrated, no matter how small. New players are particularly drawn to free games, as they are the perfect way for them to become accustomed to their new surroundings. Also, like the lottery pools in offices up and down the land, these winnings are likely to be ploughed into the larger rooms with bigger prizes at stake. As though there was a clamour for further evidence of this, there is little doubt that winning big is still the ultimate aim.
